February 1963,
One Saturday someone knocked on the front door, I answered it and was confronted by two faces accompanied by a sack cart piled up with ampifiers, cabinets and drums.
"Do you wanna join a group "? "You bet, I answered, grabbed my bass (Rosetti Lucky 7 in red) and off we set upon a great adventure.
I'm still on the adventure and see no real end to it.

It turned out that I had joined "Peter & The Wolves" who were Stu Pickersgill on vocals and lead guitar (Rosetti Lucky 7), Pete Knights on homemade rhythm guitar and vocals, Dave Atkinson on drums and Dave Hudson on vocals and harmonica. We started rehearsing and I went home having mastered "Off the Hook" (Stones), "Twist and Shout" (Beatles version) and a lot of 12 bars. Pretty soon we had gigs coming in, gigs such as "pop night" at Toc H Social Club, Otley, Burras Lane Hall, Otley (Scouts and Guides), Village School ,Appletreewick, Weston Lane Sports and Social Club and Yorkshire Cricket Club to name but a few. We added local working men's clubs and youth clubs, working regularly.
